Male Model Spotlight: The many cute faces of Rein Gutierrez

photos from Facebook and Adrian Gonzales

He's just really as cute as a button!!!

That's Rein Gutierrez by the way. I'm guessing his half German because he's from Germany (I mean...c'mon....) and he's an up and coming TV/movie actor here in the Philippines. He's into modeling as well.

And he's a really really really very sweet and nice gentleman. He's a delight to talk to. And he also sings. Nakaka-in love a guy who's like that, 'di ba? CHOZ!

I hope to see him again soon. I'll try to interview him more because I really know so less about him. Aside from these photos of course. These are all I could offer you for now.

Can I pinch your nose, Rein? CUTE! Teehee!

Rein is definitely among the most hardworking talents in the industry. I really do pray that he'd get to receive his much deserved big break soon. If only I were a talent manager. LOLZ!
What I also love about Rein is that he doesn't get tired of posting selfies on Facebook. Which I, again, love, of course. Ahihihi!
He just really has the most beautiful smile...and the sexiest nose.
He might look familiar to some of you. Well, that's because he was among the cast of last Saturday's MMK episode about Tommy Esguerra. I didn't get to watch that episode, though, but I'm more than sure that Rein did well there.

I'm very keen to follow Rein's journey towards stardom. I'm pretty sure that he'll get there. Soon. Or someday.

I said the same thing about Edward Benosa in the past. And I wasn't wrong, wasn't I? Teehee!

Good luck, Rein. I'll always be here. Your number one fan.

Spectrum Fairmont Makati dinner with Pinky

This was back in January. I invited one of my closest and most loyal friends back in high school, Pinky, to have dinner with me at Spectrum at Fairmont Makati. It was my first time there actually, and so was hers.

And, yes, ladies and gentlemen....I loved every moment! We both did.

We were seated near the floor-to-ceiling windows so not only did we get to enjoy the view outside, we also got to experience the cozy, sophisticated ambiance inside the restaurant.
That's not Mayor Lito Atienza. That's me. LOLZ!
I'm not a food blogger so I won't be very intricate nor detailed about the palatability of the dishes that we tried. They were all brilliant. Very rich in flavor. Very satisfying. I was actually more than satisfied. There weren't that much choices unlike, say, other buffet restaurants. But the choices that they served were actually more than enough. I was able to try almost everything. So, yeah, you can say that I also really did get to enjoy almost all of their dishes. My personal favorites were the ones on this plate....
And the pancit on this plate....Teehee!
I wasn't able to try much of the dessert because I was already feeling quite full after 3 trips to the buffet tables. But, I did get to try these ones over here. I'm not much into sweets but these were just fine. I had 2 servings of creme brulee by the way. Ahihihihi!
Ice cream!!!

Pinky had these prawns cooked. They were the tastiest prawns she'd ever had, according to her. I tried these as well and, indeed, they were oozing with so much flavor.
We also got to enjoy a generous cup of coffee. It was very strong. I'm telling you.
Off limits....
My personal favorite!!!
Again, I stayed away from these as much as possible. I have hypertension. Unfortunately.
Those are Pinky's.
The dining area. Again, I really so loved the ambiance of the place. It felt quite romantic, too. I would again love to have a dinner date with a special someone here someday. But, I would need to meet that special someone first. CHOZ!
The dessert area from the outside. Hello from the outside!
Pinky's dessert choices.
Thank you to my company for this dinner treat.♥♥♥

And thank you, Spectrum and Fairmont Makati!

Heroes collide in new concept art from “CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR”

HEROES COLLIDE IN NEW CONCEPT ART FROM “CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR”

Heroes square off against hero in new art for Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War." Check out the artwork and see "Captain America: Civil War" in Philippine cinemas on April 27, 2016.

Tensions rise as the world governments demand accountability for our heroes’ actions in “Captain America: Civil War,” pitting friend against friend.

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Frank Grillo, with William Hurt and Daniel Brühl.

Anthony and Joe Russo are directing with Kevin Feige producing. Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee are the executive producers. The screenplay is by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens across the Philippines on April 27, 2016.

Marvel's “Captain America: Civil War” will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures through Columbia Pictures. Follow the official social media accounts of Marvel, namely, (FB) MarvelPhilippines, (Twitter) @marvelstudiosph and (Instagram) @marvelphilippines.

My thoughts about gay marriage and my being gay

Ang ganda ko. CHOZ!

That's one very rare selfie. And an old one at that, too. LOLZ!

Anyhoo....

I'm gay. I'm Catholic. And I'm a Filipino.

But the Philippines is not actually very tolerant of gay people (most Filipinos aren't, in my experience), more so the Catholic Church. Let's face it. Regardless of all these gay pride marches, etc. the Catholic Church as a whole will never really be that much accepting of the LGBT.

But that shouldn't stop me from performing my duties as a devout Catholic. I go to church every Sunday. I go to the chapel at Builder's Center along Salcedo Street in Legaspi Village from Monday to Friday during my lunch break from work. I don't dress in a vulgar manner, not even in costume parties. I support some charities like World Vision, to name a few. And to be honest I inhibit myself from engaging in any homosexual acts. I go out and date guys (and some male models too LOL) but that's just it. I don't have a boyfriend and I know that I'll never find it in my heart to get married someday anyway. Honestly, gay marriage is just ok for me. I'm not really that crazy about it. I don't believe that you have to get married to show the world that you love each other. But what I'm supportive of is the civil union among gay couples because it somehow protects their rights and their properties as conjugal partners like that of any other couple.

These past few years I've also realized that I don't actually need to "transition" into/become a woman just to be happy. I've discovered that, for me, the secret to achieving happiness is to imbue acceptance and contentment in one's self.

I am the key to my own happiness and I can opt to choose and accept the things that will make me happy.

Nonetheless, I respect those people, as well as my friends, who choose to transition into a woman. It is their right to express themselves in that manner and I will definitely sincerely fight for their right to do so.

As for me, I just believe that God has a purpose why He made me like this and I think I'm still journeying towards the unfolding of that purpose. And like what I always say...I love my God more than I love myself.

As long as I know that my parents love and support me; and that I have friends (like all of you) who understand me, as well as my friends from school, in the office, or anyone and everyone that I meet everyday who treat me with respect; and most importantly, as long as I know in my heart that my God loves and accepts me, which I truly and wholeheartedly do, I'm good.

I don't need the whole world to accept me. I just need "me" to accept me. And I'll be just fine. My life will go on.

Thank you.

Let's all be happy! And gay!

FIRST TRAILER OF “THE CONJURING 2” REVEALS NEW HAUNTING

The first trailer for New Line Cinema’s “The Conjuring 2” the sequel to 2014’s acclaimed blockbuster, has arrived, and there seems to be plenty more eerie happenings in store.

With director James Wan (“Fast and Furious 7”) once again at the helm, the supernatural thriller brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (“Up In the Air,” TV’s “Bates Motel”) and Patrick Wilson (the “Insidious” films), star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

The film follows the phenomenal worldwide reception of Wan’s “The Conjuring,” which marked the largest opening ever for an original horror movie. The film went on to make more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second highest grossing original horror movie of all time, second only to “The Exorcist.”

In addition to directing the film, Wan wrote the screenplay with Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes, and David Leslie Johnson.

Opening across the Philippines on June 09, 2016, “The Conjuring 2” is a New Line Cinema presentation and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
