"Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" might come as a disappointment to those people who really religiously watched the anime years ago. It wasn't faithful to the anime's Shishio arc plot at all, particularly in the final battle. But for me that was fine. That's very forgivable because I just really enjoyed watching the movie so much! And that's what's important, right?

Lemme share with you why.

The movie deliciously delivered out-of-this-world fight scenes that toppled both the first and second movie (IMO). I guess only the Japanese can execute such fight scenes. Genius. Just genius. No Hollywood adaptation can match those.

The fight scene between Kenshin and Aoshi was just impeccably executed. Both of them just literally took my breath away! (Well...I guess it's also partly because Yusuke Iseya was just so hot, too!)

And watching Shishio fight Kenshin, Sano, Aoshi and Saito all at the same time hindered me from blinking my eye or from even just batting an eyelash. How were they able to execute such a marvelous and praiseworthy fight scene? How?!

I also loved that Yumi was wearing a somewhat Filipiniana-inspired kimono during the final battle. Maryjun Takahashi is half-Filipina anyway. She's just so beautiful! (That's her below, but the kimono that I'm talking about isn't the one that she's wearing in this photo.)

The ending was a little "bitin" but it definitely tickled my heart. *Shet!!!*

I just can't think of any better actor to play Kenshin Himura other than Takeru Satoh. He was born for this role. I can't believe it's already the end of the trilogy!

P.S. Yes, Sanosuke was still as delightful as ever!

Mark your calendars, everyone! Please don't forget to watch "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" on September 24! And, yes...I'm so gonna watch it again next week!

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
