My very big pancakes from 26th St. Bistro by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Bonifacio Global City

October 11, 2013

This was like more than a couple of months ago. My former officemates and I had a some sort of get together at BGC a month before my birthday.

We were supposed to have dinner at Wild Flour but the place was already full so we just agreed to go to 26th St. Bistro by The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf instead. It was my first time there, too. And the place didn't fail me and my expectations.

I was with Trixie, Jec, Mela and Joy.

Look at us. Tada!

It has been a while since I last saw them.
What I had was this one. Salted caramel pancakes. At first glance I thought it looked a little small.
But I was so damn wrong. Just take a look how thick the pancakes were. And the salted caramel syrup that was oozing from the top down. And that rich, whipped cream on top. Plus those bits and pieces of chocolate Toblerone as well.
In short, I wasn't able to finish everything. Teehee! Swear. I think I was only able to eat 3/4 of it. Later did I realize that what I ordered was already good for two people. LOLZ!
And this was Mela's chicken. Hahahaha! I couldn't remember if she was able to finish it. I think she didn't get to finish the entire thing.
The girls.
My socialite friend Trixie and I.

I really really really so so so loved the place. As in. Swear. Super. The ambiance. The coziness and homey feel of the place. The friendliness of the staff. What I didn't quite appreciate, though, was that their service was kinda slow. But, I guess that's something that they could further improve on moving forward.

I haven't had the chance to go back to CBTL Bistro again since then but given the chance I guess I would really love to return there and try out their other offerings. Alongside some good chit chats with friends, of course. Or perhaps with a tall, handsome, hunk, basketplayer date? CHARAUGHT!!! CHOZ!!!

It's just really such a perfect hangout place for me. A place in the city that made me feel like as if I was away from the city.

And, yes, I'll definitely order those pancakes again next time. And also perhaps their all-day breakfast meals.

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
