This new McDonald's TVC will definitely touch our hearts again

July 17, 2013

McDonald's just really never fails to touch our hearts with their TVCs. I think I already saw all of them as I was growing up, with the "Karen-Gina" TVC as the most popular one.

And now, here they are again...releasing another TVC that...that....

Awww...I'm sorry. I just actually saw this online a few minutes ago and now I still can't contain my emotions. I still feel so emotional. It made me cry a bit but at the same time it also left a huge smile on my face.

Here. Take a look.

The plot of the TVC is about two brothers. This guy over here is the younger sibling. He's cute, noh? I wonder who he is. Do you know his name?
Yes, it's also about these pancakes. McSavers. PhP 50 only. The younger brother treated his older brother to some pancakes.
That's his older brother.
He asked his younger brother how his crush was. The latter replied that everything was just ok.
He suggested that he should smile more at his crush.
Like this.
And the younger brother smiled heartily following his older brother's advice. And, yes again, I think he's cute. I really wanna know who he is.
The older brother approved it.
And they continued eating their pancakes.
At the end of the TVC, the older brother told his younger brother that he'd treat him tomorrow, too. Such a brotherly love!!!

Here's the complete video. Watch.

I feel emotional because this TVC has a heart and I believe that's something that's unique to all of McDo's TVCs. No singing. No dancing. Perhaps they just concentrate more on the emotional marketing side of it.

But what really hit me the most was the sincerity of the plot, the love of these two brothers for each other. And it's really very empowering.

I feel so happy and blessed after watching that video. That's all I'm gonna say.

You know what...when I was young, I kinda wanted to be in a gay-friendly McDonald's TVC, too. CHOZ!

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
