A date with Yabu and their newest dishes ("Ayabyu Yabu!")

January 17, 2013

Mind you. I'm not lesbo. LOLZ!

That's my new friend, Erica. She works for Yabu and she's helping me get close to my crush Mike Concepcion. Just kidding! Teehee! Hi, Erica!

Ok. One last look. CHOZ!

I always mention on my blog that I really love taking my friends to Yabu whenever I have the chance to visit SM Megamall on a weekend or a Friday night. I work in Makati so it’s really seldom that I get to visit SM Megamall. Except if I’m dating a guy who lives somewhere in Ortigas. CHOZ!

I always order their Hire Katsudon. It’s really my favorite. Swear. As in super. The Katsudon is so big and the rice underneath it is just so warm and is cooked beyond perfection. And I’m not exaggerating.

Eating Katsudon at Yabu feels like heaven to me. So just imagine my delight when Yabu invited me to try out their new dishes! I was like....

"Uhmmm...I don't have a boyfriend right now, anyway, so...ok! It's a date! I'll just worry about my figure next time." LOLZ!

WHOA! Look at that! Some curry...katsudon...seafoods...crabs!!!
I had a pineapple shake, too. Hihi!
Good thing Brian Tenorio was with us as well. Otherwise, I wouldn't have finished everything.
That's the Soft Shell Crab Katsu. That's what Brian had and he so loooooooved it!
And this was what I had. Katsudon with some curry sauce. I was kinda afraid it would taste spicy because when I went to India last year all of their curries were like sooooo spicy that even their least spicy one was already beyond spicy for my taste. Surprisingly...this Katsudon over here was just perfect! Oh, curry....
The Menchi Katsudon. This was what Pia and Trixie had the last time we met. When katsu meets cheese. Teehee! I love it....
This is their Seafood Mixed set. For all of you seafood lovers out there, like myself, you should try this. Their dory will turn you into "Finding Nemo's" Dory. Why? Like Dory who's always forgetful...you'll also forget your name when you try this dish! Teehee! A perfect date dish for me actually. I just don't have a...boyfriend. LOLZ!
Yabu Heaven....
Lemme just show you how rich the curry sauce is.
Thanks, Brian, for letting me try your crabs. Ahihihi!
Cabbage here. Cabbage there. Cabbage everywhere!
Thank you so much, Erica! And thank you, Brian, for accompanying me!
And thank you...YABU!!! And Michael Concepcion. Teehee! *Lumalandi*
And please don't forget that January 21st, next Monday, is Yabu's Dine for a Cause, tomorrow in all 3 branches. A good portion will help rebuild classrooms that we're destroyed by Typhoon Pablo in partnership with Gawad Kalinga. Helping out has never tasted THIS GOOD!

Ayabyu Yabu!

...and Mike Concepcion. Ahihihihihihihi!

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
