VinVin connects with "Colour Coding" via AstroPlus in "Astroplus BlogConnect 2012"

October 31, 2012

This Australian Duo, Colour Coding, was one of the artists that AstroPlus introduced to us. And I think I immediately fell in love with them the moment Ms. Denise Sia (in pink) mentioned their name.

"Colour Coding...." (Composed of cousins Tim Commandeur and Chris Holland)

I saw various streaks of colours flashing in front of me the moment I heard their name. CHOZ! Ok. I was exaggerating.
They played Colour Coding's single "Perfect" which is included in their latest album called "Proof."
And then....
I really fell in love. LOLZ! I just really like Aussies. I know. I'm biased. I know.
One of them actually look like Justin Bieber. The other one looks like...I dunno....Daniel Radcliffe? With Josh Hutcherson's eyes and jaw? They're based in Sydney, Australia.
I'm so buying their album. Really. As in. Swear. Super. Seriously. Take a look at how the boys look.

From an early age, cousins Tim Commandeur and Chris Holland have harboured a mutual passion for music and songwriting. By the time they were aged 12 and 13, the boys had already recorded an EP in Tim's father's studio, continuing to write and produce music together throughout their teens.

In 2005, drummer Tim became one of the founding members of ARIA Award-winning pop group Operator Please, later to be joined by Chris on keyboards in 2008. Over the next few years, they experienced a lot together, writing, recording, touring extensively (both overseas and around Australia) playing some of the worlds most renowned venues and festivals. This led the boys to realise their lifelong ambition: to form a band of their own. Colour Coding was born.

Tim and Chris spent most of 2011 writing and demoing songs and, in September, entered Sydney's new Hurley Studios to record their self produced debut EP, 'Proof'. The EP was mixed by DnR Music, who have worked with artists including Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Oasis, Ladyhawke and Faker.

The first single from the EP was Perfect, now to be followed by Hold Tight, which shows the more dancy, pop element of the band.

Expect to see them playing lots of local gigs in Sydney.

Let's all support Colour Coding. Someboday...bring Colour Coding to Manila! And reserve a couple of front row seats for me. Teehee!

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
