Mister Philippines 2012 Media Presentation of Candidates

Out of thousand of aspiring candidates, down to one hundred, and now down to 30 selected candidates to compete for one title, which is Mister Philippines 2012. This annual event always proves that having good looks, charm, attitude and right advocacy does not imply only for female pageant and/or beauty queens but also for male pageants. In the Philippines, we cannot deny that female pageant is the only competition that is being honored by the society. But since 2009, Mister Philippines has changed the ball game and arise with its advocacy that male pageants also has its own Filipino pride in bringing home a prestige award from an international pageant.

MPI Inc. President, Dr. Joseph Pallera said “Male pageants are essentially good and okay but here in The Philippines, it has been put into a bad light, to say the least. It is MPI’s mission to bring out Filipino men’s essence in the 22nd century of being educated, fit, and patriotic in the global arena. Hence, this would be easy but we would like to pioneer this endeavor and impact the country in our own little way. MPI’s advocacy is good, honorable, legitimate and prestigious. And we are hoping that with the help of our sponsors and you as our media friends we will be able to erase the stigma of male pageants in the country.”

Mister Philippines Inc. in partnership with ICON Ultimate Club and in cooperation with Black Runway Productions and E-Concepts Inc. proud to present the 30 candidates from around the Philippines as they compete for one title and move on into Mister International which will be happening in Thailand this November. MPI Inc., and its sponsors are on its full swing in creating a noise in the country to solicit for continuous support from this year onwards. Philippines is known because of its competitiveness in any aspect and we are proud to be at par with other countries in this phase. This event is made possible by David’s Salon, SM City Bacoor, Diana Stalder, RRJ, JR Sala Photography, Beauty Instincts, Antonov Mixed Drinks, Pepsi, and Zenzest.

Laban Pilipinas, Sulong Pilipino!

I'm excited to watch this show because my friend Gelo Luna is part of it. So, I wanna support him.

Plus...I believe that male pageants like this are "credible." It's not dirty. There may be some out there which are, well, "dirty." But, Mister Philippines is different and that's what I wanna prove here.

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
