Amici dinner with friends (my first time)

January 6, 2012

I had a catch-up dinner last Wednesday night with my friends from my previous company at the Ayala Triangle Gardens.

It was my first time to eat there and I just so so so loved it! You know very well that I'm a pasta and pizza person and Italian food is probably one of my most faves in the whole world.

The ambiance of the venue was great. The view of the kitchen also kinda had a dramatic feel in it. And, no, I wasn't crushing on any of their chefs. Promise. Swear. CHOZ!

What I had that night was this Spaghetti Ai Tesori del Mare, which is "a mildly spicy feast of spaghetti tossed in fresh tomatoes, scallops, clams, mussels and chili oil."

It tasted so great! I was also even able to influence some of my friends that night to try this one as well. I love seafood and I love oil-based pastas. This one was just a clear winner for me.

For dessert, I had Caramella Premia, which is a "Caramel chiffon layered with cashew nuts and moist caramel icing." It was just "ok" for me, though. Nothing really special about this cake. I would've tried their Gelato cakes instead if only I was feeling a little better that night.

But, well...there's always gonna be a next time! I'll surely come back to this place.

With a date? CHOZ! Teehee!

My friends made me try this one. Mozzarella Fritto. These are "Golden fried mozzarella sticks served with tangy pomodoro sauce." It's best to eat this while it's still hot.

It was really such a very lovely evening for me. I miss these girls. Lian, Angie, Ms. Reeeeeeeeeee.

And that's Ms. Match.

Angie and Ms.  Reeeeeeeeeee.

And Anne V. and I.

I just so wanna go back to Amici again....

From the printing press canteen started by Salesian Italian missionary Fr. Gianluigi Colombo, Amici di Don Bosco was established in 2001. Today, Amici brings you the authentic Italian dining experience that your friends and family will always enjoy!

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
