MARCIE is about the travails and internal conflicts of four individuals whose stories unravel around the struggle of Marcie, a cross dresser who makes a living by prowling the streets at night for clients who look for a quick fix. It illustrates how relationships become at once uncertain and lucid when these entangle.

Marcie meets Albert, a womanizer who discovers unfamiliar consolation in his company after being deserted by his wife. He falls for Macoy, who deserts him after he realizes he cannot be in love with a cross dresser.

He betrays his best friend Lolita, who opens bare to him what she treasures and holds dear including the man she loves. He loses Benson, who looks up to him as icon and protector but turns him in to the police in order to win the approval of his abusive father.Marcie bears the sacrifice of love and friendship on whose account he suffers at the hands of the police. He dies, his death making its presence felt by a sense of contempt for human folly.

Albert finds himself in a loop: he continues to search for Marcie and that unfamiliar companionship even as he may have already become familiar with what he wants.
Macoy runs from the police and gets back with girlfriend Lolita after realizing he just merely strayed and got lost for a while. Lolita takes hold of her dreams and gets away with Macoy to build a new beginning.Benson turns his back on an episode of friendship with Marcie and agrees with his father to study in the province.

The story unfolds by the expositions of character, as opposed to moving forward by the consequence of plot.

MARCIE is character-driven in terms of story progression, and employs dialogue and nuances to reveal the intents and motivations of each character, drawing these characters together in a relationship that is sought by the story as subject. It is the story of four individuals- Albert, Macoy, Lolita, and Benson - who have strayed into the unfamiliar life of Marcie, one that offers them to rethink their own freedoms, identities, and dreams, and poses them the question: To be or not to be?

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
