"Ghost" The Musical (wish I could watch)

photos from Facebook

July 19, 2011

If only I were in London....

"Ghost" is undoubtedly one of the best, timeless, classic movies of all time. Demi Moore was brilliant in that film, as well as the late equally charming and fantastic Patrick Swayze.

Oh, gosh...I think I'm kinda hearing "Unchained Melody" right now. CHOZ!

"Ghost The Musical" had its premiere show last month, June 24. It will run until January 2012 next year. I still have time (?). Maybe.

It stars my crush, the very talented Richard Fleeshman and Cassie Levy.

From Ghost the Musical's Facebook page:

This breathtaking musical staging of one of the most popular films of all time promises to be a gripping roller-coaster ride of romance, drama and excitement. Featuring some of the most extraordinary illusions to be seen live on stage, and of course the iconic love scene featuring “Unchained Melody” by The Righteous Brothers, GHOST is promises to be an unforgettable night at the theatre.

When a mugging leads to Sam’s tragic death, Molly is heartbroken and devastated by the thought of never seeing him again. But love is a powerful force and Sam is a lot closer than she thinks. Not yet ready for the after-life, Sam is a spirit watching over her and frantically trying to guide her life as she herself becomes the victim of a desperate killer.

Finding help through an eccentric psychic - who doesn’t even believe her own powers - Sam faces a supernatural race against time to protect Molly and prove to her that love really does last forever. Maybe he really will get the chance to tell her how much she means to him…

This part of the movie made me cry when I was young. I wonder if this similar scene in the musical would also carry the same emotional and dramatic heaviness?

Below is my most favorite scene in the musical. Don't ask why. CHOZ!

I so feel like shouting....

He's just so hot and sexy. Isn't he? I love him.

Oh, Richard...please kiss me, too....

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
