X-Men: First Class (excitement much!)

photos from 20th Century Fox

April 21, 2011

I may be gay but I love the X-Men. As in swear. Super.

I grew up loving and watching X-Men. I even had an X-Men card collection back then, I just dunno where it is now.

My X-Men crushes are Colossus, Iceman and Gambit. Cyclops or Scott Summers without his heavily-tinted red shades is also hot. Too bad he's taken.

Knowing that X-Men First Class will be hitting the theaters soon really excites me so much. I'm excited to see James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as the young Professor X and Magneto respectively. Before there was Professor X, there was Charles. And before there was Magneto, there was Erik.

And what I really love the most is the fact that Lucas Till (I love you!) and Nicholas Hoult are part of this movie as well! Can hardly wait. Swear.

Below are some stills from the movie.

From X-Men First Class:

X-Men: First Class, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

"X-Men: First Class" is about the formative years of Xavier and Magneto, and the formation of the school and where there relationship took a wrong turn. There is a romantic element, and some of the mutants from "X-Men" will figure into the plot. There will be a lot of new mutants and a great villain.

Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon, Benjamin Walker, Lucas Till, Caleb Landry Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Bill Bilner, Oliver Platt, Jason Flemyng, Ray Wise

In cinemas June 2nd. (according to 20th Century Fox Philippines' Facebook)

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
