Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Rodrick Rules)

photo from 20th Century Fox

April 21, 2011

I got to watch this movie last Friday night with my friend EJ Quiroz and his sister.

Though, I never got to watch the movie's first installment, nor did I get to read any of the books. But, I must say, this movie kinda touched me in a way.

I'm an adopted child, so, technically, I'm an only child. But, I have a little brother (who is the real one). He doesn't talk to me that much but I still love him.

I'm not saying that I could totally relate to Rodrick since, obviously, that's not the case. But, if you have siblings, older or younger, I guess you should go and watch this movie. This will, in a way, make you appreciate your siblings more.

It's a feel good movie, alright, but that's fine. And, I must say, that Rodrick dude Devon Bostick is kinda a cutie. Teehee!

I feel like I wanna be a kid again...free from all those troubles and problems of adulthood.

Free from heartbreaks. Segue.

RODRICK RULES!! Greg and his older brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick) inspect the damage after a wild party. Did you ever get into trouble with your siblings?

Zachary Gordon as "Greg" and Robert Capron as "Rowley."

From Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie:

In this sequel to 2010’s surprise hit, Greg Heffley, the kid who made “wimpy” cool is back in an all-new family comedy based on the best-selling follow-up novel by Jeff Kinney. (Kinney’s Wimpy Kid” series has thus far sold 42 million books.) As he begins seventh grade, Greg and his older brother – and chief tormentor – Rodrick must deal with their parents’ misguided attempts to have them bond.

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
