Aussie boy (Casey Heynes) body slams his alleged bully (Richard Gale)

screencaps from YouTube

April 10, 2011

Did you see that?

Did you see that?

The big guy is 15-(or 16?)year-old Casey Heynes (below). He has just body slammed his bully...as in! OUCH!

And, yeah, that's the 12-year-old bully, Richard Gale. Believe it or not...he's just 12 years old.

Here's what happened (from YouTube):

In Australia, a bullying victim has become an Internet hero after he turned the tables on his tormentor. And it was all caught on tape Monday.

Casey Heynes is seen backed up against a wall, being punched several times by a younger, smaller boy.

Suddenly, Casey body-slams the alleged bully, sending him scampering off.

Footage of the fight at Chifley College, Dunheved Campus at North St. Mary's has since gone viral, with hundreds of comments garnered on Facebook -- many in support of Casey.

According to the Sydney Telegraph, both students were suspended for four days after the incident.

Casey's father told the Australian publication on Tuesday his son had been the victim of bullying for several years and feared for his safety if he spoke about the fight.

"There'll be reprisals from other kids in the school and he still has to go to school somewhere," he said.

"He's not a violent kid; it's the first time he's lashed out and I don't want him to be victimized over that.

"He's always been taught never to hit. Apparently, other people's parents don't teach their kids that."

One student interviewed by the Sydney Telegraph said, "People pick on (Casey) every single day, they hit him around and stuff, and he just got sick of it and let out the anger."

As for the student Casey body-slammed, according to New South Wales Department of Education and Training spokeswoman, he suffered a grazed knee in the incident.

Here's the complete clip from YouTube:

I actually dunno what to feel about this. I'm not so sure....

Both kids have been suspended in their school already. I'm proud of Casey because he stood up for himself. And I feel sorry for Richard for the injuries that he got out of this...and also for the humiliation that he received from millions of people around the world. So, people, I think Richard has had enough already.

I believe that both Casey and Richard are victims here. They're just presented in different lights separately. One is on the positive side while the other is on the negative. I just pray that both of them can move on after this, especially Richard.

Who knows...maybe they can even be best friends? It happens in the movies. Teehee!

I just do hope that their parents will continue to support them and guide them.

Let's all learn from this. This is not just for kids alone. This is for all of us.

Below is an exclusive interview with the overnight "hero" Casey Heynes.

Casey Heynes, the 15 year old boy who became the underdog's hero overnight after a video of him defending himself against a relentless bully went viral, sat down for an exclusive interview on A Current Affair tonight, and revealed, among other things, that he has been so tormented by his peers his entire that last year, he even considered killing himself.

And this is Richard Gale's interview who, surprisingly (IMO), didn't even show any remorse. He didn't even want to apologize for his bullying. I dunno what to say.

God help these two kids.

Who is that "gay" I see staring straight back at me...?

Why is my reflection someone I don't know?

Must I pretend that I'm someone else for all time?

When will my reflection show...who I am inside?
